15th-19th now In Cape May, NJ

Our friend, Adam, came aboard on this sunny fall day to help us with our passage to Virginia.  [It's been one of the most beautiful fall seasons I can remember.]

But first we had used our 150 engine hours so we needed an oil change.  Adam helped out.

I was watching a school of fish next to Shawnee while they worked. (Not sure the video downloaded properly.)

Friday, we headed out with a bit of wind and headed toward the Cape Cod Canal timing it to catch the 4 K that whisks the boat through at about 10.9 k.  We arrived there about 11:30 pm with not a boat in site the whole way through.  BUT  during the trip we lost our auto pilot.
Adam and Drew, both engineers extraordinaire diagnosed and repaired the problem -- a faulty stripped out ground screw in the cockpit locker.

We slogged against strong headwinds takking down to Cape May, and here we are.  Tuesday, we drove Adam up to Philadelphia Airport to head back to NH and stopped by to see Drew's sister, Laura and husband, John.
We leave this morning (Wednesday) heading for Hampton, VA.  I didn't win on the Annapolis stop over because seas are too messy and going up the Delaware and across the canal is a slog.  We may rent a car and drive up to see our friend Steve on Alobar who presently is stopped at Block Island because of the headwinds and inability to sail.
