Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, (near Dinner Key Marina and Moorings) in Coral Gables FL near Coconut Grove.  On beautiful Cutler Rd.  you can bike there from the marina.   I have spent many hours here, tour tram, butterfly observations in the butterfly garden, Butterfly hatchery, Greenhouses, many special areas, cycads, palms, flowers and tropical plants.  www.fairchildgarden.org

ARS Agricultural Research Service Station for the USDA site off Cutler Rd. in Coral Gables, FL.  demonstration gardens.

Bok Tower Gardens a bit of a drive 1.5 hours to Lake Wales in central Florida but well worth it for the carillon, fun and large children's garden and the azalea's nature.  The greatest variety of butterflies I've seen anywhere. At least 7 different ones.   https://boktowergardens.org/ see March 10, 2017 blog
