Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, (near Dinner Key Marina and Moorings) in Coral Gables FL near Coconut Grove. On beautiful Cutler Rd. you can bike there from the marina. I have spent many hours here, tour tram, butterfly observations in the butterfly garden, Butterfly hatchery, Greenhouses, many special areas, cycads, palms, flowers and tropical plants. www.fairchildgarden.org

Bok Tower Gardens a bit of a drive 1.5 hours to Lake Wales in central Florida but well worth it for the carillon, fun and large children's garden and the azalea's nature. Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray, Florida off wealthy Jog Rd. This is the garden that Melania Trump took the premier of Japan's wife when they visited. www.moikami.org It has a nice cafe and super pruned gardens - every shrub is clipped on 16 acres. very calming. Educational building for kids to see how Japanese eat, go to school, ride train, etc. see March 10 blog
